Richard Watkins

Richard Watkins has a passion for cars, motor bikes and vans since he was a boy.  He has worked in the parts industry in retail, trade, distribution and manufacturing. Having started his first motor parts factoring business at 23 he went onto open further outlets before selling up and moving into the corporate world. An invitation to join Ron Sewell’s legendary business in the late 80’s as a consultant set Rich off in a different career in training and consulting. Eventually he left the automotive business only to return a few years later and set the business up that was to become Ascari.

As well as having several business interests, Rich has also worked voluntarily in motorsport, local government and hospitality in his spare time.

Motorsport, swimming, sailing and rugby define Rich’s sporting interests.
